Time-correlated animated GIF of ISON from NASA/STEREO
Thursday, November 28, comet C/2012 S1 (ISON) went through perihelion. It's not clear what happened to it, yet, but the world had a ringside view thanks to NASA's STEREO spacecraft. These spacecraft orbit the Sun.
